Product Description The Fusionbrand Ice Orb, vertical ice cube maker, is the first vertical ice tray that makes, chills, serves and stores. The Ice orb will make 21 cubes of ice on its vertical wall and will store up to 51 cubes. Simply remove the inner bucket and fill the orb with water to the indicated fill line. Place bucket back in the orb (displacing the water), place lid on and pop into the freezer. Once frozen, again pull out the bucket, pop the ice cubes out of the wall and either use, or store inside the bucket. More ice cubes can be made at this time. The inside of the orb is airtight and therefore odor free! The orb doubles as a wine bucket or as a serving vessel. Use as a cooler to keep cold foods fresh while serving great for ice cream. The lid can be placed under the orb to catch condensation. The orb is top rack dishwasher safe. Product Dimensions: 6 x 5 x 6 inches ; 1 pounds.

Wonderful, but beware the fill line! January 15, 2009 Troy Williams (Ann Arbor, MI USA) 29 out of 30 found this review helpful
This is an excellent product. I was a little wary after reading the negative reviews but I really needed a compact Ice Cube solution so I decided to risk it. Worked perfectly! Here's the deal. The WRITTEN directions (ignore the graphical ones)on the box mention the "fill line." It should be called the "fill dash" as it actually is a dash between JUST TWO of the bottom row of "orbs." Find this dash! It has a small arrow pointing down to it and it says fill line. This "line" guarantees that you don't overfill. If you overfill, then I could definitely see how it could freeze the seal at the top. It would probably be the equivalent of encasing a traditional ice tray in ice after stacking.
Once the cubes are frozen, carefully work the top almost like you open a jar, working the silicon top ring away from the jar (just be sure to be gentle- the orb is silicon, the inner jar is frozen plastic). It's definitely a different type of product that wasn't completely intuitive, but the written directions will get you some great results. Love this thing!

Why did I buy this? That cool video of the two alien women using this ice cube maker. Yep, this thing looked like a fun useful device. No I would have never ordered it unless I'd seen a video on how to use the thing. And yes those instructions are pretty complicated to say the least.
Well now that this Orb is in my home, what do I think? Pretty darn nice. Pretty darn easy to use, if you follow the video. Makes some pretty darn nice ice cubes. Overall, it's a sweet thing.
The outer portion is made of very flexible silicone. The inner bucket is a blue / clear polystyrene or firm plastic. And there's a silicone lid. Not too complex.
The whole thing can be tossed in the dishwasher. It takes a lot less water to fill than you might imagine. And the advice of inserting the inner bucket over a sink - great advice - water spills out no matter what you try. This looks like it might be kind of large - but truth be told, it'a about the size of a 1/2 gallon of ice cream - little taller, not as wide.
Yeah - it's a fun little gadget. I'll smile ever time I take out some ice cubes.

I got an iceorb for a recent party and it caused quite a buzz among my friends. It's a little tricky when you first make ice, but after the first time, it works like a charm.
One of my fave kitchen gadgets November 17, 2008 Melissa Stacie (New York, NY) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I love my iceorb! It's so versatile. Once I unsnapped the outer flexible rim it was easy to pop the bucket up. Works great as a wine chiller.
