I live 2 blocks from a lake. We have lots of misquitos. This thing is like having your own firework show every night. YES IT WORKS!! It works so well we have to hose it down in the morning becuase it's full of dead mosquitos. FANTASTIC BUY! I want to get these hung around my house like Christmas lights! LOL
Great May 28, 2010 Patti Windsor (Colonial Beach, VA) Great product. The only thing I did not like is that I hung it on a shepards hook and had to get an extension because the cord is not very long. Besides that I love it!
Not bad April 30, 2010 Anna G (Brooklyn, NY) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I had ordered two of these lamps last summer when the kids kept getting bitten by mosquitoes. Unlike many people who had reviewed this, we had no problem with these lamps whatsoever. A year later, they are both still very much operational after working pretty much every day. And they do zap mosquitoes and flies. Not every mosquito, but enough to make a difference.
Bug Zapper Works on Moths June 30, 2010 Photogjack (SF East Bay USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I had a moth problem to solve, the Bug Zapper Zapped the moths. Adding a little sugar stuff in the removable base did the trick. Well it worked for three months and died. Not even a new bulb could bring it back to life.
Worked Great until it Died May 2, 2010 S. Mullen (Eastern Shore, MD) I had this bug zapper indoors. I live in an extremely buggy marsh area, and had to clean this bug zapper at least once a week because it was killing so many bugs. One day, it turned off. I tried changing the bulb, but that didn't work. I took it apart to see if something had come loose, and found something had shorted out, and was unable to fix it. I had it running non-stop for about 2 months, so if you're going to use it sparingly, it does work great!
