| Customer Reviews: Great Does the job! - Smart Table Mate review June 19, 2010 Nick Ganchev (IL USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
It was so easy to assemble and received promptly. I'm overall pleased with this TV table. I don't understand the negative review. I bought for my computer. This table is adequate for laptop use at a sofa. It does the job. It's sturdy enough for a TV tray to use, but it won't hold a huge weight. I am just happy with this table so far.
I Love This Tray!!! July 16, 2010 Mike J 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Actually I was skeptical at the first time but it turned out this is a great purchase. I bought this table for my mom. She use this for TV tray. The quality is good on this item. A great choice all around. She loves the size and the fact that it is light to move and fits under every piece of furniture she own. I plan to buy another one for my dad for Christmas gift.
Cheap and does the Job April 16, 2010 G. A. Deliz (Honolulu) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Make this short and sweet:
Good - Cheap ($25 w/ free shipping). holds my laptop or my dinner. easy set up.
Bad - a little unstable/flimsy, but got used to it.
Overall - 4/5. (does the job)
Has problems June 8, 2010 Kate (SW Florida) 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
I bought this product for an elderly neighbor. Unfortunately the adjustable top holding bar just sort of slides into 3 different open hooks on the bottom of the tray for adjustments. There is no way to secure them into any one position. If you have it in the flat position (as she would always use it for eating) and pull it toward you, lifting even very slightly to slide, the holding bar pulls right out of the hooks and the top will no longer be supported at all. She would end up dumping her hot food in her lap. My solution was to drill tiny holes in the bottom of the plastic tray supports and wire the bar into place as that is the only position she really needs.
Possibly for someone younger who wants to change the level easily and is alert to this issue (which they would realize very quickly) this would be OK - but certainly not for a 90 year old).
In physiotherapy now for the table June 20, 2010 S. Bhattacharya (New Jersey) 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
I bought this table a year ago. It seemed very convenient due to the adjustable height and lightweight structure. However, my hand started hurting whenever I work at the table. So, went to a orthopedic surgeon and found out that the lip-construction (the higher edge) of the table is responsible for that pain. So, I will have to be in physiotherapy for quite some time now since it has done some damage to my elbow and will also have to buy a different table. Really disappointing.
