I recently purchased this table to use as a small worktable and laptop table when sitting on my living room sofa. I'm very happy with it. The height adjusts very easily and includes, among others, a setting that's perfect for typing when sitting on this type of furniture (as opposed to, say, sitting on a desk chair). This particular table model is slightly larger than the standard Table-Mate table and is styled in a way that makes it easy to move it in very close to one's body; the legs actually slide under the sofa when the table is pulled in close to your body, and the tabletop has a slight 'cutout' area in the center part of its front edge. Those design features make it a much more comfortable table for typing than is the case with a rectangular table that butts up against the front edge of the sofa. The size of the table top is large enough to accommodate both my 15.4-inch laptop and its mouse.
Another feature of this table that I really like is the table leg design which includes no cross pieces. As a result, one can fully extend his or her legs while using the table -- so much more comfortable than, say, using a tray table.
Lastly, what originally prompted me to consider purchase of this Table-Mate table was the comparatively wide span between the legs and the fact that the tabletop can be angled -- both downward toward you and upward away from you. By positioning the tabletop upward and then rotating the table 180 degrees, I'm able to place the table so it straddles my stationary bicycle and use it as a reading stand. Clever, eh? :-)
All-in-all, I couldn't be happier with the features of this table and its very reasonable price I recommend it highly.

Love this product. Perfect for laptop usage with a mouse. All fits perfectly. Slides nice on carpet. It is sturdy enough,should be a little bit more solid,but it's fine.

this does everything you could want it to do...the ONLY reason it doesn't get 5 stars is that i can't sanitize it with alcohol ( it destroys the finnish and wood grain coating )...yes i know, i'm picky...don't hesitate to get this table
portable tray April 9, 2009

This tray was ordered to use as a small laptop computer desk. The adjustable height works well, as does the under-furniture design. The top is plastic, but thick enough to be rigid and sturdy for lightweight use. The frame is metal and seems to be adequate. It would make a great TV tray, but shouldn't be used for heavy objects.
 Hope this one is different from white one I bought at Walgreens January 29, 2008
Eat Raw-Be healthy (Memphis)
I bought a white version of this table at Walgreens and it does not have a setting that makes it level. It only adjusts too high or too low at the front edge. Admittedly it has a little ledge at the side closest to you but for sitting a drink on, it is a little precarious. It does seem like they could have realized people would also eat and drink on this table not just read, do crafts and work on the computer.
