| Customer Reviews: Strong, light, and practical! May 27, 2009 Corn Boy 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
I bought the "Bed Mate Portable Table" to replace the wooden bed tray I purchased earlier from Amazon which I was very disappointed in (see my reviews). I am MUCH happier with this one because it had all the positive characteristics that the wooden table didn't have. For one, it fits easily over an adults legs with a couple inches to spare when the tray is in it's level position. Even when the table is tilted for reading and it came in contact with my legs, the plastic edge of the table top was much more comfortable to the touch. The table is also very light but sturdy. It is not a cheaply made product. Out of the box, the legs and frame had to be put together (no tools) which was VERY easy. It was good practice anyway because the way you put the legs together is the way you store away the table. Again...Simple! Yes...the table is made out of plastic but it's a very durable and strong plastic that cleans easily. I can't imagine it breaking unless you use it for something it was not intended for. If you're looking for the perfect bed tray, look no further. This is it!

This product is awesome! I am currently deployed to Iraq, and this table comes in very handy as we have no desk or anything of the sort in the rooms or tents. Also it will colapse down enough for ease of transporting it.
a good table for reading and using laptop December 10, 2009 GMa 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this product few days back and its just what I had wanted. I used to have a big writing board which broke and I got this. Its very light and firm. Easy to move around, quick to dismantle and has a big surface area , very comfortable to have a 15" laptop on it, write notes, and if you like doing work while on your bed, this is a very good tool, its cheap and does a good job.
LOVE it! December 27, 2009 Orlenda (Centuri Alpha) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Well this thing is STURDY! I was a bit worried about wether it would be since its an "infomercial item" but its awesome! Its all metal except the tabletop, which is plastic, but its a REALLY sturdy plastic! My laptop sits on it and teh heat from that doesnt make it get soft or anything....
I would have given it 5 stars had it been more adjustable (more angles and ANY height adjustablility would be nice). BUT-you "can" sorta adjust it yourself but sitting on a pillow or by rumpling the comforter under the legs to raise or tilt it.
all in all-a great product for a great price! I also DID buy from this company-they have a 90-day satifaction garuntee that INCLUDES breakage! I had trouble with another lapdesk being too flimsy (PLASTIC hinges!), and that company nnot taking it back when it broke only a month later, so this garuntee was important to me!
too tall August 24, 2009 T. martin (Brooklyn, NY, NY USA) 8 out of 9 found this review helpful
This table when in the level position is over 12 inchs high. I find that is not comfortable to work with in bed, its too high. The work surface is so tall it comes to be over the top of my chest. When in the slanted position my laptop slides off the table. This table was not designed well at all for use in bed. Notice in the picture with it, how the person is sitting on a pillow just so it can appear usable.Don't buy it, there are better designs.
